I Left My First Love

Hey! She called out to me saying, “What do you think of the colour Black?”

“What will you say it is for?”

“I wonder”, she said, my friend said.

“I wonder”, I thought.

I wonder what to say, I wonder what to answer.

Then I jumped into that ocean of curiosity,

Hoping to swim to that place where I can meet Black, just to ask him for answers.

But as I swam deeper, I started sinking in utter frustration, for Black is ever far away.

I began to drown and chock in my own disappointment, as I see my faults

Then I swallowed that so salty ocean water of shame.

Shame for I failed to get that answer.

“Forgive me Black, forgive me my friend”.

“Forgive me for sleeping in the lies of my confusion”, I pleaded.

Then I saw a light, bright in the ocean reaching out to me, beckoning for an embrace.

I looked further, in the midst of my predicament and I saw not but the light, a face.

I thought to myself, still in my difficult predicament, “What is that beautiful thing?”

I stretched my hands to it, for the embrace, but then I noticed Black close by.

He called my name, screamed those answers to me.

I heard him but I ignored.

I saw him, but my arms were already stretched deep in the ocean to the beautiful light.

“I wanted to meet Black for my answers; I wanted to know the light for sake of curiosity”.

But then, Curiosity, that curiosity took hold of my heart and all I wanted now was the light.

So I ignored my first task, my first quest, my first Love.

Just silly infatuation for that Light, just the Beauty of the light, Just a Face,

Leaving the Beauty of Black, His glorious personality and awarded being, I surged forward, deep into the ocean, arms wide open to the light.  

Why so cold? The light so Cold.

I cried to be released but it never did.

All of a sudden I lose my consciousness, total Darkness, nothing!

I am in Oblivion!
